For sales professionals who struggle to switch off.
Overview
Sales and commercial roles demand energy, responsiveness, and constant mental availability. For many people, that pressure doesn’t end when the laptop closes. The mind keeps running. The body stays tense. Evenings, weekends, and family time get hijacked by work.
This often isn’t a motivation issue. It’s not a resilience problem. It’s what happens when high-pressure roles quietly train your nervous system to stay on alert.
I know this world well. Before coaching, my background was commercial and partnership-led roles, working to targets, managing relationships, and carrying responsibility home long after the day ended. I truly know how easily work can begin to dominate sleep, mood, relationships, and identity—especially for capable, conscientious people who care about doing a good job.
Since training as a coach, I’ve developed a strong interest in helping people whose jobs have begun to take up more space than they want in their lives. Not by telling them to quit or “care less,” but by helping them regain choice, perspective, and the ability to properly switch off.
What this is
I’m currently exploring a focused coaching project for people in sales and commercial roles who feel unable to disengage from work. I’m looking to connect with a number of individuals who feel this is an area they struggle with. Things like:
Constantly thinking about work during evenings and weekends
Consistently working far beyond paid hours with a negative impact on personal life
Sunday night dread
Replaying conversations, deals, or emails long after the day has ended
High levels of anxiety around performance and results at work
Sleep disruption, i.e. waking up thinking about work and can’t go back to sleep
Work success bringing only short-lived relief before the pressure returns
When we connect, we’ll:
Explore a real “can’t switch off” situation from your current sales or commercial role
Work through it using live coaching
Introduce practical concepts and tools you can apply immediately
This is a collaborative, safe, and zero-pressure conversation—designed to be useful for you, and informative for me as I refine this work.
